Has God forgiven me, even though I repented to Him, and will the disgrace that I invoked upon myself, fearing the exposure of my misdeeds, come to pass? And what do you advise me, as I do not want to tell her that I do this, fearing disgrace?

Repentance is accepted if its conditions are met: immediately ceasing the sin, regretting what has passed, and resolving not to return to it. If the sin involves the rights of other people, a fourth condition is added: returning the right to its owner. Regarding what was said to the colleague, if it involved dissimulation (tawriya) and the intention was to conceal oneself, then there is no blame. Otherwise, it is a lie and a sin from which one must repent.
