Is it obligatory upon a person afflicted with incontinence of pre-seminal fluid to remove the adhesive strip contaminated with pre-seminal fluid for every prayer, and does the prayer become invalid if the pre-seminal fluid is on it?
Two things are required of one who suffers from urinary incontinence or pre-seminal fluid discharge: First, washing the affected area and taking protective measures to prevent the spread of impurity; and second, performing ablution (wudu) after the prayer time begins if anything has exited from him. He is not required to renew the washing and the protective measures for every prayer unless he has been negligent. It is mentioned that some jurists do not consider the protective measures obligatory. As for placing an adhesive strip, it is considered an appropriate protective measure and is not required to be changed for every prayer.
