Is it permissible for a woman to stipulate to her husband that he abandon supererogatory acts of worship, by analogy with the permissibility of stipulating that he not marry another woman, and what is the difference if the answer is in the negative?

If a woman stipulates to her husband that he must not marry another, the condition is valid and binding. She has the right to annul the marriage if he marries another, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "The conditions most worthy of fulfillment are those by which you make intimacy lawful." Jealousy is natural for a woman. However, a woman's stipulation to her husband that he should not perform supererogatory prayers is void, because it contradicts the Book of Allah and His command to do good deeds. Anything that is like that is void, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Any condition that is not in the Book of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, is void."
