What conveyances did the Prophet, may God's prayers and peace be upon him, use?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

The Prophet, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, rode horses, camels, mules, and donkeys. He would ride a horse saddled or bareback, and sometimes he would make it run. He would ride alone or with someone behind him, and sometimes three people would ride on one camel. Most of his mounts were horses and camels, while he owned only one mule which was a gift, as mules were not common in the Arabian lands. When it was suggested to him to crossbreed horses and donkeys, he said: "Only those who are ignorant do that."
