What is the ruling on one who delays placing his feet during prostration, or lifts them after prostration? Is it obligatory to repeat the glorification in these two cases, or if he uttered it before placing his feet? What if he lifts his face then returns it to the ground?

The questioner has many obsessive thoughts, and she should ignore them and pay no attention to them, as this is the most beneficial treatment. Prostration (sujud) is performed on the seven limbs (forehead and nose, the two hands, the two knees, and the tips of the two feet). Most scholars are of the opinion that prostrating on other than the face is a recommended act, not an obligatory one. If someone delays placing their feet during prostration or lifts them during it, their prayer is valid according to most scholars, but they have acted contrary to the Sunnah. Glorifying Allah (tasbeeh) during prostration has no relation to the position of the feet. If someone prostrates, then lifts their face and prostrates again intentionally, their prayer is invalid. However, if it was due to forgetfulness or ignorance, their prayer is valid.
