ما هو تفسير حديث: "داووا مرضاكم بالصدقات"؟

Some scholars interpreted the hadith as treating the sick by giving charity on their behalf and asking the recipient of the charity to supplicate for them. Others interpreted it as an encouragement to visit the sick, because visiting them is an act of kindness, and every act of kindness is a charity. Moreover, visiting brings joy to the patient and results in prayers for them. The first interpretation is the correct one, as a word should not be diverted from its apparent meaning except with a truthful evidence, and there is no such evidence here.
