Does a husband's forbidding his wife from visiting her Sufi father constitute a severance of kinship ties, knowing that the wife wishes to honor her father?

Allah Almighty has commanded kindness to parents and maintaining ties with them, even if they are disbelievers. It is not permissible to prevent a wife from visiting her father if there is no fear of him corrupting her. As for the fear for the children, it is not certain and can be avoided by preventing them from attending such gatherings, or by having them stay with the father. Their ruling can also be explained to them if they are discerning. The father should be advised with evidence and proof, so perhaps Allah will guide him.
