What is the ruling on forbidden expressions, such as "May the house of he who begot you be ruined," and what is the ruling on backbiting, slander, and speaking ill of people?

A Muslim must guard his tongue, for the tongue is one of the most dangerous limbs. It can cast its owner into the Fire farther than the distance between the East and the West if used in a way that displeases Allah Almighty. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, a servant may utter a word, not realizing its implication, by which he falls into the Fire farther than the distance between the East and the West." And supplicating for the destruction of the property of the slandered person's father is an aggression in supplication, and it is forbidden. Allah Almighty says: "Invoke your Lord with humility and in private. Indeed, He does not like aggressors." Backbiting and tale-bearing are forbidden, and it is not permissible to go along with people in these prohibitions.
