Is it permissible to purchase an electronic item (like a wallet) if its type is specified but its color and design are random, and cannot be known until the order is received?

Ignorance of the color or pattern does not cause harm if only the type of item is intended by the contract, and if there is no difference in value or dispute arising from their variation. However, if both color and pattern are intended by the contract, or if their variation leads to a difference in value or dispute, then the contract is invalid due to ignorance of them, unless the buyer is granted the option of inspection (khiyar ar-ru'yah) according to some scholars. The majority of jurists do not consider valid the sale of an item with unknown attributes, whereas some Hanafis and Shafi'is deem it valid based on the buyer's right to the option of inspection.
