How can what is stated in Sahih al-Bukhari concerning each nation following its worshipped deity, and the absence of mention of the flying of the scrolls or the reckoning, be reconciled with what is detailed in the Holy Quran concerning the flying of the scrolls and the measure of good and evil deeds?

The stages of the Day of Resurrection and the states of people therein are many, and not every sacred text encompasses all of these stages; rather, some stages may be mentioned in one text, while other texts complete what was omitted. For example, the aforementioned hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri clarifies the beginning of the presentation on the Day of Resurrection, where nations that worshipped other than Allah will fall into the Fire. As for those who worshipped Allah, the Almighty will come to them in a different form, then they will recognize Him when His Shin is uncovered, whereupon the believers will prostrate and the hypocrites will fall on their backs. This is followed by the setting up of the Bridge over Hell and the beginning of intercession, then the presentation of deeds, the reckoning, and the Balance.
