If the prevention of pregnancy by doctors is precautionary or probable, and not definitive or based on a strong presumption of danger to the mother's life, then the woman's insistence on procreating is not considered a violation of Sharia; rather, she will be rewarded for it, and the husband will also be rewarded for assisting her. However, if trustworthy doctors report a certain or predominant danger to the mother's life, then it is not permissible to proceed with pregnancy, nor for the husband to assist in it, because harming oneself is forbidden by Sharia.
