Is it permissible for a student of Islamic knowledge to accept a monetary prize after his success, and is it better to decline it or to accept it?

It is Islamically permissible for a student of Sharia to accept a financial reward for their academic excellence, whether the reward is from a competition or not. This is considered a form of support for the pursuit of knowledge and a way to encourage competition in it, and it does not diminish sincerity.
