What are the meanings of truthfulness (sidq), justice (adl), patience (sabr), and gratitude (shukr)?

Truthfulness (Sidq) is the utterance and performance of truth. It pertains to words and deeds and is the opposite of lying and immorality. Justice (Adl) is fairness in truth, equality in recompense, and moderation between excess and negligence. It is one of Allah's Beautiful Names. Gratitude (Shukr) is praising the benefactor for the good he has provided, acknowledging the true Bestower, and expending blessings in ways that please Him.
