A wife's leaving her husband's house while he is absent is subject to the same ruling as her leaving while he is present. She is not permitted to leave except with his permission or out of necessity. If she knows that he does not object to her leaving, this is considered implicit permission, whether he is present or absent. However, if he prohibits her from leaving while he is present, then she should not leave while he is absent except after seeking his permission or out of necessity only.
