Does the Quran sanction and legislate slavery, and is the concept of Jihad based on sectarianism, being exclusive to Muslims?

Jihad in Islam is for the propagation of the creed and the removal of obstacles, not for compulsion in religion. Non-Muslims are not fought for the sake of spreading Islam, because they do not embrace it. Seeking the help of non-Muslims in fighting is permissible under conditions, such as their defense of the state, or the Muslims' defense of them if they are attacked.
