Is smiling or any other reaction towards something pertaining to religion, Allah, the Messenger, the Companions, or the Mothers of the Believers considered mockery that expels one from the faith, even if the intention was not mockery?

The questioner suffers from the waswasah (whispers) of mockery. We have advised her not to succumb to these thoughts, nor to allow Satan a path to her. She should occupy herself with memorizing the Qur’an, reading books of spiritual edification, studying stories of the Pious Predecessors, and serving her family, alongside seeking refuge in Allah and persistently engaging in dhikr (remembrance of Allah).
