What is the ruling on selling a commodity conditioned upon selling another commodity with it that the buyer does not need?

There is no harm in this type of sale, because the contract is concluded for both commodities together, and both are known, and the price is known, and there is no ignorance or gharar (uncertainty/deception) in it. The esteemed scholar Muhammad ibn Ahmad Illish al-Maliki was asked about selling a cow with its offspring, and he answered that it is permissible, due to the absence of ignorance regarding the price and the sold item, both generally and in detail. And he mentioned that stating the price of each category is even more conducive to permissibility.
