Do tranquilizer pills invalidate treatment with Ruqyah Sharia for illnesses caused by sorcery, possession, and the evil eye, and is it necessary to avoid them during the treatment period?

It is permissible for a person afflicted with illnesses to take sedative or other medicinal drugs if they are beneficial, due to the permissibility of seeking medical treatment. However, it is not permissible to take anything that causes harm, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "There shall be no harm or reciprocating harm." The decisive reference in this matter belongs to specialists such as doctors and practitioners of Ruqyah Shariah (Islamic exorcision).
