Straightening the rows is a (recommended practice) according to the majority of scholars. This is done by aligning shoulder to shoulder and ankle to ankle. Attending to it is an emulation of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. One should not condemn those who care for it, but do not exaggerate in it if it leads to dispute or difficulty for the worshippers.
