Is it permissible to memorize and study materials that may contain information religiously incorrect (such as Islamic sciences from unreliable sources or philosophy) for the purpose of passing exams, and is the student sinful if he answers according to their falsehood, especially if he is unsure of their falsity?

A Muslim must learn and correct the rulings of his religion, and he is not permitted to answer with what he believes to be false unless he clarifies the reason for its falsity. The questioner must strive to know the truth and correctness in the matters he studies. It is not permissible to study philosophy and innovative doctrines that address the fundamentals of religion and matters of the unseen in a purely rational, innovative, or atheistic manner, except for one who is fortified with religious knowledge and aware of the truth. As for answering according to the prescribed curriculum in exams, there is no harm in it, because the student attributes the answer to the curriculum, not to himself.
