Is it permissible for a married girl, aged six or nine, to demand a divorce before puberty if she does not see benefit in her marriage or wishes for it for any reason?

The majority of scholars permitted a father to marry off his young, pre-pubescent daughter if it was in her best interest, such as marrying her to a suitable and pleasing man. Some scholars, however, stipulated that her permission must be obtained if she reaches the age of nine. If a girl is married before puberty, the more prominent view is that she has the option [to annul the marriage] once she reaches puberty. If she chooses to annul it, it can only be done through a judicial ruling. However, before puberty, she has no option to annul the marriage, unless there is a reason for divorce, such as a bad marital relationship.
