What is the ruling on swearing by divorce due to self-talk and the whisperings of Satan, and does divorce occur in the aforementioned cases?

Divorce does not occur through self-talk without utterance, nor does it occur from a person afflicted with waswas (obsessive doubts) who uttered it involuntarily. If one doubts whether he uttered the divorce or not, or doubts whether he divorced voluntarily or not due to waswas, his divorce does not occur, because the original state is the continuation of the marriage. Therefore, turn away from these waswas and seek Allah's help.
