Does a divorce occur if a person says, "Divorce be upon me if I do such-and-such," while closing his lips and producing an inaudible sound, and feeling slight pulsations in his throat and tongue?

If you are afflicted by waswas (obsessive doubts), your divorce does not take effect, even if you utter the explicit words of divorce audibly. The fatwas (religious edicts) regarding the non-occurrence of divorce for those afflicted by waswas apply to you. You must completely disregard these obsessive thoughts, seek refuge in Allah from Satan, and perform ruqyah (exorcism) upon yourself according to the Shariah.
