Is it reprehensible or forbidden to make the call to prayer while wearing shoes?

Making the while wearing sandals is permissible and not disliked or forbidden. Rather, praying in sandals is permissible, and the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, prayed in his sandals. The permissibility of making the Adhan is even more certain.
