Is it permissible to frighten a woman who plucks her eyebrows (al-namisah) by telling her that her hijab and prayers are unacceptable and that she is expelled from the mercy of Allah, and thus none of her good deeds will benefit her? And is this (statement) true?

Plucking (al-Nams) is forbidden in Islam, and its perpetrator is cursed. Abdullah ibn Masud narrated from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "May Allah curse the women who tattoo and those who have themselves tattooed, those who pluck their eyebrows (al-namisat) and those who have their eyebrows plucked (al-mutanammisat), and those who make spaces between their teeth for beauty, altering Allah's creation." However, it is not permissible to say that the hijab or prayers of a woman who plucks her eyebrows are unacceptable, because Allah is Forgiving and Merciful and may forgive her, as He Almighty said: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills." And disobeying parents is a major sin, yet Allah's forgiveness for the disobedient is possible. Severe warnings may lead to abandoning prayer and hijab, which contradicts the objectives of Islamic law.
