What is the religious ruling regarding a husband traveling to live and work in a foreign country with his third wife, leaving his two other wives behind, and dividing his time among them unjustly? And is this permissible for him?

A husband must be just among his wives. If he wishes to travel with one of them, he is only permitted to do so by drawing lots or with the consent of the other wives. This applies to temporary travel. As for travel involving relocation (moving to live and work), a husband is not permitted to travel with some of his wives while leaving others behind, whether by drawing lots or otherwise. If he does so, he must compensate the wives whom he did not take with him.

Based on this, if a husband wishes to travel with his third wife, he must observe justice in the division of time among the three wives. If he stays for a month with the traveling wife, he must then return to stay for a month with the first wife and a month with the second wife, unless one of the wives waives her right. If he is just among them, there is no blame upon him for traveling, provided that the period of absence does not exceed six months, unless there is an excuse.
