Did the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) mention a way to undo the widespread magic among people, which may cause a person to suffer poverty or infertility, or prevent them from leaving the house?
It is authentically established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was treated for magic with prayer and ruqyah using the Two Protectors (al-Mu'awwidhatayn). The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was indeed afflicted by magic to the extent that he would imagine he had done something when he had not, so he supplicated to Allah. Then two angels came to him and informed him that his magic involved a comb, hair from the comb, and the dried spathe of a male date palm, and that it was hidden in the well of Dharwan. Allah cured him of that magic. It is also authentically established that the Two Protectors (Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas) were revealed to undo magic, as each time he recited a verse, a knot from the knots of his magic would unravel.
