What is the ruling on a girl's insistence on associating with a young man who proposed to her and was rejected by her mother multiple times due to his educational level and appearance, then her demanding exorbitant amounts of money from him, while the girl continues to communicate with him secretly?

If the suitor is a person of religious commitment and good character, the mother should not reject him. The educational level of his parents or his appearance do not, in principle, prevent his acceptance according to Islamic law.

It is recommended to try to persuade the mother and win her over with the help of close relatives, while making abundant supplications.

If this is achieved, then praise be to Allah. Otherwise, obedience to the mother takes precedence, unless you fear harm by not marrying him. In that case, there is no sin upon you in marrying him in the presence of your guardian and witnesses, while striving to satisfy your mother.

If the marriage does not become easy, ask Allah to grant you what is better, and you must cut off any relationship with him.
