What is the ruling on a husband repeatedly mocking his wife's parents by way of joking, and in this situation, should the husband or the parents be given precedence in respect?

Married life requires patience and sacrifices, and our religion has guided us to treat others well and fulfill rights. The wife is justified in her patience with her husband's mockery of her parents, and in avoiding reciprocal treatment, because that is considered a major sin. It is advised to be patient and seek reward from Allah, and to calmly discuss the harm with the husband, gently admonishing him about the consequences of mockery, and that it is detested by Allah and contradicts the morals of believers, as Allah Almighty says: "O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them." It is also advised to treat the husband's family with gentleness and kindness, and not to let his son's action be a reason to insult them. There is no contradiction between respecting the husband and parents; the husband's right is given precedence in Sharia, but this does not grant him the right to insult them.
