The rights of a divorced virgin woman do not differ from those of a divorced non-virgin woman, unless the husband divorces her before consummation ( دخول) or privacy (خلوة). In this case, the divorced woman is entitled to half the Mahr (dowry) and is irrevocably divorced with a minor separation (baynunah sughra). She does not have to observe an 'iddah (definition) (waiting period), and he can take her back with a new marriage contract.
