Are the people of the Qiblah judged to be in Paradise or Hellfire?

The People of the Qiblah (Muslims) will enter Paradise if they die upon Islam. As for those among them who enter Hellfire due to sins, they will not abide therein eternally, according to the Hadith: "Allah Almighty says: 'Whoever has in his heart an atom's weight of faith, take him out (of the Fire).'" The people of Sunnah do not excommunicate anyone from the People of the Qiblah for a sin unless they deem it permissible or it is polytheism (shirk). Judging a specific person as destined for Paradise or Hellfire depends on what is mentioned in the Qur'an and Sunnah. We hope for the righteous and fear for the sinner. One who repents from a sin is like one who has no sin, for sincere repentance that fulfills its conditions absolves its doer of all sins, as Allah Almighty says: (Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.") And the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah Almighty extends His Hand by night to accept the repentance of the one who sinned by day, and He extends His Hand by day to accept the repentance of the one who sinned by night."
