Will Christians and Jews enter Paradise after being purified of their sins, or will they abide eternally in the Fire? And is it true that Muslims will not abide eternally in the Fire?

Those to whom the call of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, reached, but they did not embrace Islam, and died upon their disbelief, will abide eternally in Hellfire. This is based on the Almighty's saying: "Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills," and His saying: "And whoever desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and he will be among the losers in the Hereafter," and His saying: "And whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - then Hellfire is his promised abode." And based on the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, any one of this nation, a Jew or a Christian, who hears of me, and then dies without believing in that with which I was sent, will be among the dwellers of the Hellfire."
