What is the ruling on a Muslim man marrying a Christian woman who embraced Islam because of him, despite his family's opposition to this marriage due to fear of familial problems? And must the girl obey her parents if they order her to revert from Islam? And what is the reward for both of them?
Islam erases all sins that preceded it. Whoever wishes to embrace Islam should hasten to pronounce the two testimonies of faith and not delay it for ritual bathing. A Muslim should adhere to their religion and be patient in the face of tribulation, for there is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to the Creator. It is permissible to marry a Muslim woman, and her marriage contract should be conducted by the Muslim judge, their community, or one of them. The benefit of helping a woman remain steadfast in her religion takes precedence over contradicting the parents' opinion regarding not marrying her, if her returning to disbelief would result from it.
