What is the ruling on a wife not sleeping with her husband in the same room, and instead sleeping with the children, despite his discussing it with her and her refusal to comply?

The wife is religiously obligated to obey her husband in matters that do not involve disobedience to Allah, as Allah the Almighty says: "Men are in charge of women by [right of] what Allah has given one over the other and what they spend [for maintenance] from their wealth." If she refuses to sleep with him in the same room, this is a reprehensible act, and she must comply. If she persists in her refusal after being advised, she is considered disobedient (nashiz) and should be dealt with according to what the Sharia (definition) prescribes.
