Is downloading paid games for free, or buying them from an untrustworthy store, considered among the forbidden acts (haram) or the doubtful matters (shubuhat)?

It is not permissible to resort to trickery to download or play games without purchasing them if their producers prohibit it, because it infringes upon the rights of their producers, and the rights of innovation are protected by Islamic law for their owners.
