What is the father's share of the inheritance?

If the deceased leaves no heir except his father, then the father takes all the wealth because he is an asabah bi nafsihi (agnatic heir by himself), and there is no Ashab al-Furud (sharers) or closer asabah with him. The father being an asabah bi nafsihi makes him inherit all the wealth if he is alone, or what remains after the Ashab al-Furud. It is advised not to divide inheritances without referring to the Sharia courts, due to potential complications such as the existence of other heirs, or wills and debts that must be paid before distribution.
