Is it permissible to keep chewing gum in the mouth during prayer without chewing it?

The worshiper should approach their prayer with humility, mindful of their supplication to God. Chewing gum during prayer is contrary to proper conduct, and it may impede the completeness of recitation and distract the worshiper. If they chew it or if any part of it dissolves, their prayer becomes invalid. If they do not chew it, then if it dissolves, the prayer is invalidated, but if it does not dissolve, it remains valid.
