Is it permissible to donate a kidney to a sick father who is in urgent need of a kidney transplant?

We ask Allah to bestow health and healing upon your father. There is no harm in you donating one of your kidneys; in fact, it is an act of dutifulness towards him. However, there are conditions for this.
