Is it true what is said that Al-Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib was a frequent husband and divorcer, and that he married more than 200 women, and to what extent is the exaggeration in the number of his wives true?

It was well-known about Al-Hasan ibn Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, that he frequently married and divorced, to the extent that Al-Dhahabi said in "Siyar A'lam al-Nubala'": "He married around seventy women, and rarely did he have fewer than four co-wives." There might be some exaggeration in this number, but there is no legal impediment to it as long as the person adheres to the Sharia regulations. Perhaps his intention was to increase the progeny of the Prophet's household, may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him, or other righteous objectives.
