Is it permissible for brothers to give their sisters their share of the inheritance over many years and at the old value of the house? Will the mother or the brothers be harmed for not giving the daughters their due for six years? Is the second house considered a family house that cannot be sold? Is there a legitimate way to resolve the issue without selling the house? Does the daughters' share of the inheritance increase if the value of the house increases?

Islam prohibits disinheriting women. It is obligatory upon the mother and brothers who disinherit their sisters to fear Allah, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection. If a father dies leaving behind a wife, sons, and daughters, and no other heirs, the wife receives one-eighth, and the remainder is for the sons and daughters, with the male receiving the share of two females. The daughters are to be given their share of the house's current value. The mother and brothers incur sin if they deprive the daughters of their share of the rent. Daughters have the right to demand their share of the family homes and to take the matter to the Sharia (definition) court if the sons are obstinate. Nevertheless, the mother's injustice does not justify disobedience to her.
