How is an inheritance divided among: a father, a mother, a wife, three sons, three full brothers, three full sisters, and one paternal half-brother?

If the heirs are limited to the father, mother, wife, and three sons, then the father and mother each receive one-sixth due to the presence of a lineal descendant, and the wife receives one-eighth due to the presence of a lineal descendant. The remainder goes to the three sons by way of ta'sib (residuary inheritance) equally. The brothers and sisters receive nothing as they are excluded by the father and son. The estate is divided into 72 shares: the father receives 12 shares, the mother receives 12 shares, the wife receives 9 shares, and each son receives 13 shares. It is advisable to refer inheritance matters to the Sharia (definition) courts to investigate the existence of any wills, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' entitlement.
