What is the ruling on one who is afflicted by boredom and frustration because people do not read the religious articles and booklets that he distributes, and does his reward in this case go to waste?

One who calls to Allah and distributes beneficial books and tapes should not be afflicted by frustration or despair, for he is performing a noble task about which Allah Almighty says: "And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, 'Indeed, I am of the Muslims,'" and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "For Allah to guide one man through you is better for you than red camels." The caller to Allah should not be concerned with the results as much as he is concerned with the work and perfecting it, for the results are in Allah's hands. And those who work with sincere intentions will not lose their reward, as Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds," and "for indeed, Allah does not allow to be lost the reward of the doers of good." And He cited Allah's saying to His Prophet: "Indeed, you do not guide whom you like." These brothers must continue their work, for their reward is assured and their effort will not be wasted.
