If the employees are entrusted with facilitating transactions but do not complete them except in exchange for a benefit, then what is paid to them is a bribe, and there is no sin upon the payer for repelling harm. However, if they are not entrusted, then what is paid to them is considered a wage for their service, and there is no harm in that.
