ما الفرق بين الإعداد والتصنيف والتأليف؟

"I'dâd" (preparation) is the act of making something ready or preparing it, meaning to bring it forth. As for "Tasneef" (classification), it is distinguishing things from one another and organizing them into categories or types, and from this comes the classification of books. As for "Ta'leef" (authorship/composition), it is the act of gathering what is dispersed and connecting parts with one another, and from this comes the authorship of books. The difference between "Ta'leef" and "Tasneef" is that "Ta'leef" is more general. "Tasneef" is the composition of a specific category of knowledge, whereas "Ta'leef" includes gathering words and meanings, whether they are in agreement or disagreement, while "Tasneef" is limited to gathering only one category.
