What is the Sharia ruling on removing hair that is not explicitly addressed [in religious texts], and is it permissible to adopt the fatwas of scholars who permit it for the sake of ease and to remove hardship?

Removing or trimming chest hair for men, whether by shaving or other methods, is permissible, as there is no religious text that prohibits it or commands it. There is no sin upon whoever removes it. However, refraining from removing it is preferable for those who are not bothered by it, because what is disliked (makrooh) and what is contrary to what is superior (khilaf al-awla) fall under the category of permissible acts. Whoever refrains from it as a precaution is further from doubts, and the completeness of piety requires that a servant abandon some of what he deems permissible for fear that it might be unlawful.
