What is the ruling on a Muslim woman teaching males in the foundational stage?

It is permissible for a female teacher to teach male students who have not reached puberty (before the age of ten) as there is no Shar'i impediment. However, it is preferable and safer for women to educate girls and for men to educate boys, because children may be influenced by the feminine qualities of female teachers. Furthermore, women may find it difficult to control boys and impart information to them. We believe that prohibiting women from teaching male students serves as a preventive measure against expansion, and as protection for them from potential risks, especially with the spread of sexual culture today, and as protection for female teachers from the whispers of the self.
