Is it Islamically permissible to undergo uterine ligation, especially if it leads to strange illnesses after the procedure?

We ask God to cure you of illnesses. You should have asked the question before undergoing the surgery, for it is not permissible for a Muslim to perform any action until they know God's ruling on it. The answer now is of no benefit regarding what has passed.
