Is it permissible, in Islamic law, to perform a uterine ablation after repeated and difficult pregnancies, and is this considered a necessity?

Frequent childbearing does not permit complete cessation of progeny. Scholars are of the opinion that a hysterectomy to prevent offspring is impermissible unless there is an absolute necessity. The significant harm caused to a woman by pregnancy, such as hardship, health problems, and deterioration of her condition, is considered a great harm. If it is possible to avoid this harm through means that do not completely prevent progeny, then that is what should be done. Otherwise, there is no sin in performing a hysterectomy or any procedure that completely prevents progeny, as it falls under the category of necessities, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "And He has explained in detail to you what He has forbidden you, except what you are compelled to [eat or use]."
