Did the Messenger compel Abu Bakr to marry him to Aisha despite their aversion to that?

Allah Almighty married Aisha to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and Abu Bakr was content with that. It is probable that he did not consult her due to her young age. Aisha, herself, took pride and boasted in her marriage to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and in the fact that he did not marry any virgin other than her, and she was jealous over him.
