Is it permissible to work as a sports journalist for a foreign sports information bank, knowing that this information bank provides sports betting companies with information, while my task is limited to providing the information bank with information without directly dealing with betting companies?

The rulings on sports vary. Whatever sports are free from Sharia prohibitions are permissible, and following their news and reporting on it is permissible. Whatever contains prohibitions is forbidden, and working to publicize and report its news is forbidden, due to the generality of His (the Almighty’s) saying: "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." It is not permissible for a Muslim to follow sports that contain Sharia prohibitions, such as women's tennis or swimming, or gambling. As for prohibited entities benefiting from a sports information database, this does not prevent working in it, unless the information is specific to those companies or their primary beneficiaries, in which case it would be cooperation in sin.
